How do I enter a single line break instead of a new paragraph?

When you press the Enter key on your keyboard while editing a page, WordPress by default creates a new paragraph, which looks like a double-space between lines, as seen in the example below:

If you instead want a single new line, you can use the plain text editor. If there is already paragraph spacing between the blocks of text that you want to be separated with a single new line, delete that space. Then, click the Text tab at the top right of the editor, which will open the text editor. In this editor, pressing the Enter key results in a single new line. You can then return to the visual editor by clicking the Visual tab. Remember to click the Update button when you are done editing your page. Here is an example of the result:
