STAR-CCM+ Individual Licenses

All College of Engineering enrolled students and faculty members may request a license of STAR-CCM+ computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools, from Siemens, in support of their academic work for use on their personal computer. To obtain an Individual License, you simply need to send an email to ccm.academic-us.plm@siemens.com, and provide your full name and umich.edu email address. Once Siemens enables your access to the "Steve Portal" (https://thesteveportal.plm.automation.siemens.com/), you will receive an email response detailing the process.

Faculty and students interested in training on STAR-CCM+ are also encouraged to take advantage of distant learning classes offered by Siemens. Information about the classes, including upcoming dates, can be found on the Siemens website. Contact ccm.academic-us.plm@siemens.com to obtain a voucher code for free registration.

Once registered, more information on these resources can be found in the portal's knowledge base, which includes an extensive array of FAQs, a video library, and other self-help tools.
