What is a digital capture whiteboard?

Note: Some College of Engineering classrooms also offer the ability to record what is written on the wall-mounted whiteboard. These are not “digital whiteboards,” but are regular whiteboards with dedicated cameras that enable them to be recorded by the CAEN lecture capture system.

CAEN has deployed SMART Whiteboards in certain CAEN computer labs. They are whiteboards that allow a student to "digitally capture" anything they write as an image, and save it to their mobile device. Images can also be shared with others over the Internet. The SMART kapp app is required to connect to the whiteboard.
