What settings or tips I should know when using the CAEN VNC client?

Escaping from Full Screen Mode

In Windows operating systems, press the F8 key then, click the Full Screen menu option to switch between full screen mode and windowed mode.

On Mac OS, press the key combination Command + Control + Option + ~ (tilde) to switch between full screen mode and windowed mode.

Installation Location

The VNC client may not run if it is saved to a folder with a path longer than 85 characters. It is recommended to save the client to the Desktop or C:\Temp.

3D Application Support

Accelerated 3D graphics (OpenGL/GLX/XGL) are not currently supported by CAEN's VNC environment. Applications that require GLX acceleration may not run correctly in a VNC session. Applications affected include, but are not limited to:

  • Comsol
  • Hypermesh
  • Tecplot
  • Unigraphics
