Why must I enter my password every time I connect to the Linux Login Service? Can I use Public Key authentication?

CAEN's Linux Login Service uses Kerberos for authentication, and does not support Public Key or RSA authentication for logging in via SSH or VNC.

All users are required to enter their UMICH password, along with theirĀ Duo two-factor authentication (2FA).

For instructions on connecting, refer to our knowledge base articles on using SSH and VNC.
