Who is responsible for patching my computer(s)?
Operating system patches are automatically downloaded and installed. Computer systems may require weekly reboots to stay up-to-date with the latest patches.
Non-Microsoft software included in the CAEN Lab Software Environment (CLSE) for Windows may require other update mechanisms. Your departmental IT support staff have the option of installing additional software that may require updates. Those with administrator rights on the computer may also have the ability to install additional software, which may or may not require updates. Departmental IT support staff are responsible for patching any software not provided by CAEN as part of the CLSE.
