How do I enroll or purchase a device for use with Duo Two-Factor Authentication?

In order to enroll in Duo Two-Factor Authentication:

  1. Review the Duo two-factor authentication options and decide which option(s) you want to use, and which device(s) you want to use. You can enroll multiple devices.
  2. If you wish to use one or more devices other than a Duo hardware token (such as your mobile phone or a land line), you must complete the online enrollment procedure for each device.
  3. If you wish to use a Duo hardware token, you must purchase one from the U-M Computer Showcase. You will need to provide your MCard as identification to purchase one. The hardware token will be enrolled for use by you at the time of purchase. The U-M Computer Showcase is conveniently located right on North Campus in the Pierpont Commons Main Concourse. They also have another location in the Michigan Union lower level.  New Duo hardware tokens have a battery life of 5 years.

If you have problems activating your Duo token, call (734) 764-HELP (764-4357) option 1, or send e-mail to
